Benjamin Verellen

Goes by Ben.

Ben was born in Birmingham Alabama.  At the age of five the family moved to Pittsburgh for eight years and then to Kingwood for six years with his father's job in US Steel.

Ben looked at several colleges before deciding on Auburn.  One visit to The Plains and the decision was final, he was an Auburn Tiger.  Ben was eligible for an academic scholarship with Auburn, making the out of state tuition manageable.  The scholarship awarded from the Greater Houston Auburn Club was most appreciated to help cover expenses.

Ben has chosen a Business degree because of his interest in the global market.  While living in the Pittsburgh area, Ben became a lifetime Pittsburgh Steelers' fan.  It would be a wish come true to one day have an opportunity to work for the Steelers organization or an internship or summer job.

He is a freshman this year and has become very active in the social life at Auburn. He has joined the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, and is a member of the Auburn Alumni Association.

The Auburn Club strongly encourages members and guests to contribute to the Annual Scholarship fund. Whether your contribution is $1,000 or $15, every penny counts. These contributions will be used to reward talented and promising students in the local area with scholarship opportunities. As a donor, you play a role in preserving the Auburn Spirit for generations to come.
